Rendering To MainConcept MPEG2 DVD Fails

Vegas Pro 13 64 bit ver.453/ Win 7 Pro 64bit

I have an AVCH 1920x1080 60fps MTS file from a Panasonic recorder. There are no edits but 2 Fx (sharpening and levels). I can successfully render the file to Blu-Ray 1920x1080 -60i but not to MainConcept DVDArchitect 24p NTSC WideScreen. . I've tried 4 times with reboots and updating Vegas to ver 453. All fail around the 11-14% mark. I've tried saving to different drives, including C:

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks,
Peter

Can you successfully render 10-15 seconds with no FX to MainConcept? Is yes, maybe copy your project into s new project, ghem strip off the FX and see if you can render. That could help you trouble shoot what is happening.

Techno-philosophical question with an implied answer.

Given your success rendering to Blu-ray as 60i from your 60 fps source (you didn't state whether it was progressive or interlaced), why do you want to introduce the herky-jerky judder of 24p? Consider using the DVD Architect NTSC Widescreen video stream template which is interlaced.

John,

Good question. Probably because I don't know what I'm doing!

But, in fact selecting Widescreen video stream was successful. 24p fails. Probably shouldn't but for the moment I'm happy. Thanks very much for the feedback.

Thanks Kimberly. If John's idea hadn't worked I'd try what you suggested.
