I am trying to capture my screen using the method showing by the Vegas guys on YouTube :
When I do import media and go to the location I saved my capture, the .vegcap files are not shown. If I set the files to "All files" and import it, it says unsupported file format. I need this method to capture multiple inputs and have them automatically laid out on separate tracks. Please help. Still on trial and I am considering on buying the full version. But I need this screen capture feature!
Also check out this tutorial And also think about OBS - it has far more setting options than Vegas Capture. Vegas Capture was developed to be as simple as possible, but has the serious disadvantage of not being able to set nearly anything yourself, not even the location of the recordings, the resolution, and not the frame rate ................

OBS gets a lot of funding from, as example. Facebook, Twitch, Nvidia, Logitech, and work directly with Nvidia, and until recently AMD. It ensures a lot of development continues and hardware capture (In case of Nvidia) can be incredibly efficient and high quality

I know OBS. What I was after was capturing different video and audio sources and have them automatically laid out across separate tracks. What would be a killer feature. OBS can record it into one video which can be also good but won't allow any alteration in the edit. I guess this feature in Vegas is not matured yet.
I think so too - I agree that it should be kept simple in Vegas, since there are enough tools out there to deal with special requirements. However, an adjustment of the frame rate, the resolution and the freee choice of the storage location of the created files should at least still be implemented.
