selected clips time length / duration

Hello!

I have i.e. 5 video clips width different durations.

These 5 video clips are between some gaps (spaces), so I cannot calculate total duration of these 5 video clips directly in Vegas Pro 15.

I would like to write a script that calculate me the total time length (total duration) of all these 5 video clips but with gaps missing (gaps cannot be sum up to total length, they should be missed).

It will make my editing more efficient.

I cannot find a script on forum, which calculate me the total time length of selected clips.

Please help me with finding the solution

I just have put the JPVegasEx.dll file on my Google drive. Here is a link :

It will do what you wanted. The events can even be on different tracks.

Bruggeling - how can I make it work? Where should I put the dll file? I tried to put here c:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 15.0\Video Plug-Ins\ but nothing display in Script tree?

OK I have found it. I was forced to create subfolder Application Extensions on this path: C:\ProgramData\Vegas Pro\15.0\. Now it works. Thank you very much. It works perfectly.

Glad you managed to make it work. You can dock the window if you want to.

How can I dock the Time Extension to window in VP15?

Like you dock all other tool-windows : hold down ctrl-key and drag the window towards the band holding other windows like "Project Media", "Trimmer", "Preview"... Now release the mouse button and the "Time extension" will dock between them. Then you can also enlarge the other windows to cover part of the "Time extension" window, and use only the part that is usefull to you (mostly the video side).
