Seperating Discord Output from Game Output

luke-a wrote on 5/4/2021, 3:11 PM

Hey all, I'm using GeForce Experience Shadowplay to record my gameplay and using Sony Vegas 16 to edit it. I have used the function in GeForce Experience that separates audio tracks, but unfortunately it couples the discord audio and game output audio together. My microphone input is separate. If anyone else is doing something similar, do you know if it's possible to separate those two outputs on to single tracks? Thanks!

You say "it couples"

Which program is "it" VP or Experience?

If the latter, you're more likely to get help from an Nvidia forum

System 1:

Windows 10
i9-10850K 10 Core
128.0G RAM
Nvidia RTX 3060 Studio driver [most likely latest]
Resolution        3840 x 2160 x 60 hertz
Video Memory 12G GDDR5

System 2:

Lenovo Yoga 720
Core i7-7700 2.8Ghz quad core, 8 logical
16G ram
Intel HD 630 gpu 1G vram
Nvidia GTX 1050 gpu 2G vram

You might look at using OBS instead. It has a lot of controls for audio and video ingest.

@luke-a
... and you should check who you bought "Sony" Vegas Pro 16 from - there are many charlatans on the net.
Vegas Pro 16 is actually from Magix.

GeForce couples game and discord audio together, but I wanted to know if there was a way in Vegas to possibly split them? If anyone has dealt with the same thing

If they are mixed-down together in the same audio track, there is nothing you can do. As someone else said, OBS gives you control to record your different sources to separate tracks. This way, you can do whatever you want in Vegas. I don't about GeForce Shadowplay.
