I already did, Tim. :-)

I have also made some product improvement/usability suggestions and hope to see those in an update. We'll see...

Hi everyone,

To clarify how the plugin works, you first will make a selection on the Vegas timeline at the location and length you would like the track to be. Then invoking the plugin script will send the duration to the Length field in Sonicfire Pro, and place any markers contained within the selection to the Sonicfire timeline. You can then either use the Express Track window alone to select and customize the track, or you can place the track on the Sonicfire timeline for further editing (i.e. Mood Mapping, Timing Control), using the markers to assist the placements. Then you can send that audio back to the Vegas timeline in the location you originally selected.

If you need to make changes to the audio, you can select the SmartSound audio file from the Vegas timeline and rerun the plugin script. It will then recreate your project on the Sonicfire timeline exactly as it was when you first sent it, so any markers that were originally there will show up back in Sonicfire. You can then make your changes and send the audio back to replace the original audio on the Vegas timeline.

I'm happy to answer any other questions that you may have on the Vegas plugin. We believe it is quite intuitive and lets you quickly go back and forth to utilize the full customization abilities of Sonicfire Pro to get your SmartSound music exactly how you want it into your Vegas project.

Thanks!
Frank (SmartSound Tech Support)

Frank, thanks for posting. Any thoughts about sending the selected Vegas video as well, rather than just the markers? And does the updated audio track come back into Vegas as a new take? I think that would be preferable to replacing the original audio track.

argh... I still can't get my script to show up in VP. :-/ I installed SFP 5.8.5 after purchasing the upgrade/plugin. Any suggestions on how to get this to show up in VP?
