SMS 11 projects crashing VMS 14 Build 105 when opened

I'm still using good old ver 11 for production. Many (not all) of my ver 11 projects cause the VMS 14 crash.
I've sent a couple of the automated trouble reports but just submitted an official report for a ticket.
I know there's a lot more to do on this, and it may take some time to go back and forth with it since I'm busy with video shoots and a lot of post, but I wanted to share it here. Below's the information VMS 14 generates. For me it appears to be the same error every time.

There's a related recent issue reported here: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/svfx-video-grovel-x64-any-hints-for-resolving-this-crash--105988/

What OS (including specific version), graphics card, and graphics card driver version are you using?

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, GE Force GTX 560 Ti,  driver ver 344.11 (already rolled back to solve black preview window issue)

You could try 372.90 which xberk is using successfully with your card. 376.33 seems a pretty good bet too. Avoid 378.XX, as you already know.

Haven't had time to download and install the driver yet.

First solution from Majix...
----------------------
As a troubleshooting step, click Options > preferences > video tab, turn “GPU acceleration of video processing” to off, and set “dynamic RAM preview” to 0, click apply and OK.
----------------------

Unfortunately the crash still occurs.
