Is my Gigabyte GTX 1050ti modern enough for Vegas? Can i have timeline preview speed comparable to Edius?
I read that rendering with NVENC is a lot faster now, but what about quality? Can somebody make a comparsion between original and rendered files, from a high detail scene with lot of motion?
That info will be a big help in my ugrade decision..

Probably easier to install the 30-day free trial and test it yourself. You can run it alongside VP14. But timeline preview performance with Nvidia is still a work in progress and we're hoping to see improvements in forthcoming updates. So you might want to save your trial for a while. Current advice for VP15, contrary to previous advice for earlier versions, it to update to the latest graphic drivers.

Perhaps samples with more texture, foliage, people etc, known to show up weakness in Nvenc vs x264 could be used as test samples also. I used this mainly for render time example, and to see internal settings using Mediainfo, which ones have Cabac etc.
Relaxvideo, if you test and come to any conclusions with respect to quality, within the different settings, do let us know.
