So4 Compound Reader For AVC/M2TS Is Not Recognizing M2TS

Hello, I just did a bunch of research on the "So4 Compound Reader" or "so4compound.dll" plugin.

It interests me because I get flawless playback on my timeline for AVC files when using that, as my GPU will kick in to help out.

My camera outputs M2TS files. When importing them info Vegas the files still say they are being read by the "compound.dll" plug in and not "so4compound.dll".

Does anyone know why, or how to get it to switch to So4? I'm assuming it should work as it's in the title of the Internal setting.

I hope this is enough information.

so4compoundplug doesn't decode the m2ts from my Sony RX100 either. As I understand it (I can't find the reference right now), the original intention was for so4compoundplug to decode m2ts as well as AVC, but that hasn't implemented yet.

Thanks for letting me know it's not just me. I guess a simple transform to AVC might be a workaround for now.

It would be great if this worked, for other formats too. When it's in effect, I can scrub the timeline as fast as I can with a media player.
