Software crashed now doesn't display properly

V21 on Dell desktop computer. Effect I was working on went to a red screen and froze the whole computer. Closed the computer and restarted. Open V21 and everything is not displaying properly, the sizes are all off, or they are in the wrong location. It doesn't matter which project I open. Should I uninstall and reinstall, or is there a better way?

If the display problems are also occurring with other programs on your computer, it is probable that the computer's GPU has failed. However, if the problem is limited to Vegas Pro only, try resetting Vegas Pro back to its default (factory) settings following the instructions in this thread: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-can-i-reset-vegas-pro-to-default-settings--104646/ This is often more successful than uninstalling/reinstalling.

If resetting doesn't work, then it may be best to try an uninstall/reinstall but doing a 'clean' uninstall as per these instructions: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-can-i-do-a-clean-uninstall-of-vegas-pro--111205/ This procedure involves editing the registry which does require a lot of attention because there is no 'undo' going back when editing the registry.
