I was searching for something cool from NAB on youtube and found this from the guys at nextwavedv.com it is SCS's own Whitney showing off Vegas 12 and I think I see Gary Rebholz in the background. It is very cool thought you all might enjoy..
unfortunately, a lot of the time the 'bigger' projects cannot be used as demo media. JR can attest to the Budweiser piece I showed, as well as some 4K content seen at the Vegas party.
It's not easy getting permission to show commercial footage.
Sony was also demonstrating XAVC/S in the Vegas demos (oddly enough, there was no Vegas in the Broadcast demos of F5/55 in the Broadcast section of the Sony booths), and there was some other odd resolutions, framerate, codec footage being shown on the mainstage. This particular video interview, Whitney may not have chosen that footage, but it was being shown on that same computer system.
Justin was showing how he uses Vegas for his television show, and Ric Viers was constantly showing how he uses Vegas for "The Living Dead" etc.
Thanks JR,
seems at last SCS are putting some real effort into marketing their products.
That is a HUGE step upwards from a couple of years ago. Back then it really was cringe worthy.
Cangratulation to whoever kicked some posteriors to make that happen.
As for having footage to show.
Perhaps it's time for some of the SCS staff to go out and make a short film.
This is all very reassuring. Like many here, I have a huge amount of time invested in learning the ins and outs of this fine program. A bright future for Sony Vegas is very good thing for my future as an editor!

Yea, I also saw the videos he couldn't show in public. All very impressive stuff.

Actually they have and if you were at NAB you would have seen them at the Monday night Vegas Pro event. They are really having fun with it and make a new sort film every year.
