Sony Creative Software Administrator Warning

Um, anyone know what's up with this?

"This email is to inform you that the Sony Creative Software forum administrator has placed a warning on your forum account. The details and reasons are listed below: the link you posted had foul language. In the future, keep the content at "PG" level."

Not sure what they're talking about and since when would "foul language" in a link warrant a warning? Or "foul language" in the forum for that matter? (Search the forums, there are more than one) Anything barring pron. They didn't bother saying what link to where so not a whole lot to go on. The only link I recall posting as of late was the thread that's still standing for the "Before He Trades" video, which doesn't have any "foul language".

I understand the need for some forum moderation, for example to keep flaming threads to a minimum and the like, but since when are we getting censored?

PS I just remembered the link. Wow, you've got to be kidding me. It was an amazing Typography/Motion graphics piece that quoted "The Big Labowski" that I had posted in the thread "Beautiful Title I have ever seen" because it was relevant and an incredible use of text. This is just friggin ridiculous.

I totally aree with you. I didn't read or even see the post in question, so I am speaking generally.

Before I had children, I was quite the offensive type and I just didn't realize it. Now that I have children, I understand that those without children are not insensitive, it's just they don't have a full perspective of the world.

Well, this thread is getting off the topic of video editing but I hope the forum police don't remove it. I just had to write in 'cause I found the following rather offensive:

Not that I'd click on "report abuse" (I'd rather make a public statement) but this seems a worthy candidate: bashing all non-propagators as somehow lacking what all propagators have??!

I know 1 parent who won't let her kids see Harry Potter movies 'cause her church tells her it glorifies witchcraft or some such thing. Millions of other parents find nothing wrong with their kids seeing these.

Didn't see the clip mentioned but I really liked "The Big Lebowski." Wouldn't rent if for young kids, though.
