Sony Movie Studio 13 Preferences wont stick

So I am trying to render my videos at a faster pace. Instead of just wholly relying on my CPU which is an intel i7 2760 quad core, I want to use my GPU as well. I have a Nvidia quadro 1000m that is up to date with the latest drivers. When I open up Movie Studio 13 I go to options -> preferences -> GPU accelration of Video Processing and select my Nvidia Quadro 1000m When I click apply I get a pop up that says "For one or more of these changes to take effect, the application must be shut down and restarted." I click ok and click ok again on the preferences box. I close down Movie Studio 13 and re-open it. When I go back to preferences, GPU acceration of Video Processing is off again. However, when I go to customize a template and go to system - > check GPU it says CUDA is available. I have my template set to render using GPU if available but I don't it's being used as everytime I restart the program, the GPU acceleration is off. Any suggestions out there?

I also forgot to mention that I have already deleted everything that was cached within Movie Studio 13 by doing Ctrl + Shift and double clicking the icon at the same time. I even uninstalled and reinstalled Movie Studio 13 and I still have the same issue.

"GPU acceleration of video processing" and "GPU-accelerated AVC rendering" are 2 entirely separate things, controlled by different preferences.

I'm afraid I don't know why GPU acceleration of video processing would be off after you restart. If it's available to select then it should stay on.

GPU-accelerated AVC rendering is only supported on old GPUs, very likely not including your Quadro 1000m. It might allow you to select that for CUDA acceleration but it's likely not actually accelerating it. It might even slow rendering down.
