Sony vegas 16 freezing

Kevy wrote on 9/22/2018, 11:28 AM

I recently bought a new computer. At first I already started having problems. I couldn't boot up sony vegas, but i fixed it by reinstalling my NVIDIA drivers and uninstalling Intel drivers.

Now while I'm editing, at random times the footage just freezes, but the audio keeps playing on. The frame counter under the window says (Frame).... and doesn't move. I already turned the GPU acceleration thing or whatever it was off,but it didn't help

My pc:

Processor

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-8500 CPU @ 3.00GHz

Video Card

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050

RAM

8.0 GB

Operating System

Microsoft Windows 10 (build 17134), 64-bit

Sorry, I know it's kind of illegal but yes, it is cracked.. A 14 year old boy hasn't got the money to buy such things.. I would if I could

@Kevy - In which case I doubt you’re ever going to get assistance here.

@Kevy

Not KINDA illegal; TOTALLY illegal. And TOTALLY IMMORAL. Its' theft, just the same as if you reached into someone's pocket and stole their money. A "14 year old boy" doesn't NEED professional video editing software.

Do yourself a favour and remove this from your system. You can then do one of many things:

1) Use free software like Resolve

2) Buy cheap older version of Vegas Pro (e.g. Humble Bundle sometimes has deals for $20)

3) use your school A/V lab computer

4) Get a job. Babysit, mow lawns, deliver papers, wash cars, ….the list is ^$((&#$(&* endless!

WANTING SOMETHING DOES NOT JUSTIFY TAKING IT. EARN IT AND BE A MAN.
