Sony Vegas Pro 12 (Event Pan/Crop glitches the image)

uma-c wrote on 2/13/2018, 12:57 AM

So, I always used sony vegas and never had problems, but, recently, I'm having a problem on event pan crop, where if I move the image to a certain point of the screen, it deforms itself.

Here is a vídeo of the problem, the vídeo is in portuguese, but you can clearly see how the problem is. Very annoying. :

I'm using a Windows 10 xD

Unfortunately your video just crops out the switches at the left of your Event Pan/Crop window. Anyway, try changing "Maintain aspect ratio" (in the Source section) from No to Yes.

If that doesn't help, please share a zip of project and media on a cloud service.

Ok, i'm sorry, I reposted the vídeo without the cropping of my Event Pan/Crop window. I already tried "MainTain Aspect Ratio" and it still didn't work... :

I still can't see the switches at the left of your Pan/Crop window (just of the left of the screen at around 0:25).

Unfortunately I have no idea how to resolve this. It's a strange problem. If you share a zip file that includes your .veg project and your media (e.g. on Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, mega.nz, wetransfer.com or mediafire.com), we can try and help find the problem.

Please don't make duplicate posts on the forum. I hid your other one.

I just wrote a reply and Puff it vanished. 😞

@uma-c

Try a Factory Reset.

Are you using the last Build of VP12?

Check your .NET Framework.

I’ve used Vegas from VV3 > VP15 and not experienced that behaviour.

If you’re only wanting to “place” Mario, use Track Motion instead.

Ok, I'll fix it, I think i know what you're talking about.

It's really strange, but the problems aren't my .veg projects or the componentes of it, since this happens with EVERY media i use on this vegas. >.<

Ok, I won't duplicate anymore, sorry. xD

Hi, I don't know what a factory reset is. xD Check NET Framework? You mean update it? I'm using Vegas pro 12.0 and I want to animate Mario. That's the point xD

As Gracie suggested, this is an odd occurence. Does it happen if you use TRACK MOTION rather than PAN CROP to animate it.

I also don't know how to use motion track, i have never used it.

It is very similar to Pan Crop. Use the Vegas help menu.

Ok, I looked up fast on a vídeo and It really is similar, but the problem is that it doesn't animate, it just appears out of nowhere, big. There is no animation and I tried it

I think I got it, the Pan/Crop isn't fixed, but I think i did some animation.

@uma-c Ah, OK.... There is much to learn. Please give yourself time by quietly search through this Forum using these subject topics:

  • Factory Reset
  • Build Number
  • Track Motion
  • .NET Framework

@uma-c All of these four topics above have been discussed. I’ve posted more than 18,000 times. I’m still learning and I use the Search facility here continuously. You ARE going to get a solution. I’d be very surprised if you don’t. 😉
