Stretch 4:3 video

Hi I am fairly new to Vegas 19 . having found my way around it I have a problem.

Some source clips are in 4:3 I wish to stretch to my 16:9 project. Have studied a few tuts on youtube but not been successful at fulfilling my aim. I do not want to crop, I need to stretch.

AH you say, that will distort the image, yes that is exactly what I need to do as the 4:3 image has been distorted from 16:9 !

Tips to help will be much appreciated Thanks Richard

Stretching the 4:3 Clips to 16:9 in a 16:9 Project (and distorting Aspect ratio): Open Pan crop tool and select as shown below. This setting can easily copied/pasted event attributes to other 4:3 clips.

@richard-taylor6468 At church, we record 16:9 footage that VEGAS sees as 4:3 when dropped on the timeline. The way to fix it is what walter-i described... right-click the event, choose properties, and change the PAR to the proper PAR setting. In my case, I change it from .9091 to 1.2121.
