Switch from vegas to another window - delayed

Salah wrote on 7/2/2022, 5:09 AM

I have another problem. I have two monitors, on one vegas and on the other windows10 desktop. When I exit the vegas window with the mouse cursor and come back after a second, I have to wait about 20 seconds each time for vegas to start responding. Every time I exit vegas with the cursor and return to vegas I have to wait the mouse cursor signals this with a rotating circle. What could be the problem?

-I see that if I switch to another window [ alt+tab ] and after 1 sec return it also happens

-I unplug one monitor and it's the same. So it is not a problem related to the monitors, but to vegas itself

You have failed to provide any real information like your computer specs (see my sig below) and what version and build of Vegas you are using, what OS, etc. I personally do not have that problem and have a 2 monitor setup.

Read this POST if you want help and provide the information in this post.

This is not the fault of the computer, until yesterday vegas was working fine. I can give you the data, but it won't help at all [ AMD Threadripper, GTX 2080, SSD+HDD, WIN10, VEGAS19 -636, 48GB RAM ] Greetings.

...my question about your computer specs, etc. is not the first time someone has asked you about this when trying to figure out your past problems, so why not just add that information to your sig to avoid it always being asked of you?

If your problem just started (meaning all was well before) yesterday, then it is something on your computer. There has been no change in Build 636, but certainly Windows has updated.

Great Vegas :) How before going to another window I turn on what track to be played [ space ], it is all good - no delay. And if I don't turn on the playing track I will go and come back then I wait 20-30 seconds :D Great :)

I wonder if it's something to do with Vegas losing focus?

Options - Preferences - Close media files when not the active application

I this checked or unchecked? If checked, try unchecked.
