Sync events Pro 21

WestsideSteve wrote on 11/17/2023, 9:06 AM

Hi everybody it seems like there's a feature in Vegas Pro 21 that will allow me to select multiple video and audio tracks from different sources but the same material and automatically sync them within Vegas Pro 21. Assuming that works by lining up the wave files. I own Syncalia but it acts weird with Vegas. I own plural eyes Legacy but they keep wanting to me to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars for their entire suite. I can't really find an accurate YouTube tutorial for synchronizing three or fou events with Vegas 21 Pro.

Thank you!

... or you could try AudiosyncR from the Happy Otter.

Thanks JV and John, by the way John I assume you use the otter program on a regular basis? Do put your files in it and Export them to the Vegas timeline?

And is there a clear and precise tutorial for it? There really is none for Syncaila

JV: so I have three events and one audio track. Seems like I had them all selected unless I'm doing something wrong. I go to multi-camera but the sync to audio to align events is grayed out. I've selected each one left or right click shift or control and still haven't been able to activate the sink option under multi-camera.

I own plural eyes Legacy but they keep wanting to me to spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars for their entire suite.

You don't need to upgrade to the latest plural eyes, you just need to copy the old PE4VegasLoader14.dll to the C:\ProgramData\VEGAS Pro\Application Extensions\. It can run in Vegas Pro 21.

If you can't find the file PE4VegasLoader14.dll, you can use Everything tool ( https://www.voidtools.com/en-us/ ) to find it.

How old is your PluralEyes? Their tech support helped me get it installed in newer versions of VEGAS (had to migrate over to the Maxon app).

Yes thank you, that's very true, the people at Maxon have been very helpful. And very patient. But it works for a while and then kicks me back to the buy now location. I may have to go back to them again but I was really hoping that the built-in feature in Vegas Pro would work. I've followed the steps but the synchronize with audio (in a multi camera drop down) selection is grayed out. And I don't know why.

I just find Maxon app logs me out from time to time and if I log back in then it works again.

The built in feature never seemed to have completed development. It sort of works but I'd rather use PluralEyes.

@WestsideSteve

Since there is only one of me when I shoot, I rarely have to sync anything. I have heard good reports on AudioSyncR though.
