Test MPEG-2 HD TS vs PS streams

Could you please do a little test for me: Render with settings Output type MPEG-2, width 1920 Height 1080 Frame rate 25 or 30, Profile Mail, Level High, Variable bit rate anything / Audio Include /System Uncheck Save as separate and Stream type Program. Save this template.
This rendered file can be rendered again with the same template without recompression ??

Then do the same but with Stream Type Transport (save template) and see if this file also can be rendered again with the same template without recompression ??

I ask because I can only render the Program stream again without recompression while SCS tells me that also the Transport stream should be able to do this. And in my setup it would be a huge advantage if also the TS really could do it - and maybe the problem is local just on my machine...

I did as you asked.

On the second pass the program stream file "smart-rendered" after a brief delay.

The transport stream file did not "smart render". It appears not to be just your machine.

Thank you very much John.

Thought so - and will relay this to SCS.
