"I would say without a doubt, that more new users decide to buy Vegas after seeing the enthusiasm and the knowledge here, that any other marketing tool SCS has come up with."

I began with Vegas 4, I believe, and this forum has kept me coming back for each new version. Through this forum, you can learn every element of video production if you're willing to learn from others who've been there already.

I frequently have customers who want to try their hand at editing their personal films or videos that I have digitized for them. I always recommend Vegas Movie Studio as a starting NLE, specifically because of its stability and the support they can get on the SCS forums (and because I can answer most of their noobie questions).

You know what else I forgot to mention.

On some user forums the people who have been on them for a long time kind of spit on the noobies by telling them to "read a sticky" or telling them to "Search" for the answer before posting . They forget when they were noobies and needed the same help.

Not here. These people are great.

This forum has given me answers to problems that SCS couldn't help me with so yes, it's a GREAT FORUM !!
The international membership is a real bonus as there are often issues that show up in NTSC land and not PAL or vice-versa.
I'm constantly amaazed at the skill sets of a lot of members.
The fact that they share this knowledge willingly is amazing.

I come to this Forum at least once a day. And I pose questions (and get prompt, useful answers) generally once or twice a month or so, regarding stuff for which I can't find any info in the Vegas Help system or user manual.

The Forum also serves as the "gateway" thru which I go looking for other Sony products, such as when I want some new ACID Loops to use in creating a soundtrack for a video project I'm working on.
