That held my attention and made me laugh. Nicely done. You shot in 4k and cropped and panned?

Some of the colors looked weird (to me), too saturated for a cold and desolate winter scene. But I wasn't the guy rolling around and filming in the snow, so who I am to complain? ;)

Did you take it in 21 x 9 or crop it in Vegas?

4k, and pan/zoomed in Vegas

VTX: I did botch the colors pretty bad. LUT I used turned lips purple, so I had a separate track for face close ups, and tried to manually match color - and left it too hot ... which might have been because I recently calibrated my monitor and it might not be as colorful as I thought, so I pushed it. I should have tested on more screens before final render.

JJ: 4k 3840x2160, then aspect masked during edit. I like the ability to reframe clips in post that way, and want to keep things "Movie" shaped.

Thanks for watching!

Actually, if you will view the short in the scopes, you will see the grading effects are "as intended."

Greg has always been a fan of pushing the limits, but this short maintains proper REC 709 luminance containment throughout! That said, it was an artistic choice, not a technical fail. As such, I'll not judge; I'm just glad we got him this far.

yeah thanks guys! I Do like it hot, but pink face red lips was too much on some of it. Vegas still doing what I tell it to though

I always appreciate your creativity!

As I remember it, the Revenant trailer had a dark, cold look that would make one feel lonely and chill. Color was a comfort that one couldn't seem to find.

C'mon, who peed in your Cheerios today? I didn't need scopes to understand that Greg intended the colors to be as they were. He already noted what I observed. Really, I just enjoyed watching it and marveled at Greg's patience of filming in the snow. The occasional red tree trunk or odd-colored 5 o'clock shadow were but small distractions (to me).

It's a heck of long ways from Teen Cop. :)

Brilliant if you saw the original. It's generally hard to make me laugh. I laughed.

Technical stuff all good -- but great sound work made all the difference to me.

Just $120 million less than the original too.

Get thee a budget and go boy!

I do think my latest monitor calibration may be a bit dull. Didn't mean to push the colors that much, but it is done, I've learned and moving on.

WAS FREAKING COLD out there! Below freezing level. It was snowing earlier in the day when I wanted to get out, but mostly stopped when I got to location. I was dressed for 2 hours of exposure, but ended up shooting for 4 hours in the outback of my favorite disc golf course. Toes and fingers were in mortal danger! No gloves for the character because I wanted more bright skin tone showing, fast learned I could not go digging trough the snow gloveless, it was just too cold.

FUN FUN one day project, learned a TON more about so many things, and Vegas only crashed twice and neither was while rendering. 4K is gonna be fun!

It kills! "Tree fell in the woods! Anybody hear that?" That was funny, and well done.

The casual grab for the bag of chips made me laugh hardest. I'm envious of your creativity.

Laughing me snow boots off, here in London!

Very good - I like the "off" colour.... added to the spoof nature of it.

I was going for TEAL and ORANGE, but the LUT I used was extreme and I couldn't reel it back in. Thanks for watching!

Great work - yep, I laughed out loud! Looks so strange seeing you traipsing around in the snow while we're in the middle of an Aussie summer.

Nice work getting the shots framed well enough to make the zooms look like someone was driving the camera.

A good laugh.
