We'd be glad to help, please provide the info requested above, and that will start us off on the right foot.

Just in case, the one thing I always recommend we start on... go into the help menu in VEGAS, run the driver update utility. If it suggests new drivers, download and install them. See if that helps any.

First thing that stands out to me, the driver update utility is showing that you are using a very old driver. Please open it back up again, and download that driver it recommends by pressing the download button on the bottom right, then install that file that it downloads. Reboot your computer after the installation finishes, and see if that helps.

One more suggestion, try using the Magix AVC encoder instead of the Sony one. Another option is to download the free Voukoder plugin, or Happy Otter Scripts' Render +. Those enable the use of different AVC encoders that work better in some cases.

Suggestion #3, if all else fails, set that dynamic RAM preview to 0 and try again. Only do that if needed, though.

Thank you for the first point. Please explain to me what my obsolete driver is? From the graphics card profducent and information in HELP Vegas it appears that this is the latest driver released on June 22, 2022

Thank you, I set the RAM to 0 / ZERO. But why would I buy so many expensive memories that Vegas suggested for the program to work, how do I need to set ZERO?

Dynamic RAM preview isn't the only thing VEGAS uses memory for, it's just a system for rendering video into your RAM so it can be played back faster. Unless you use DRP in your projects currently, you won't notice a difference. If you do use dynamic RAM preview, you'll need to set it to a number above 0 to use it. VEGAS 19 fixed the problems with DRP.

As for Voukoder, there's another part of the app you need to download, follow the instructions in the error message.

As for your driver, always use the one VEGAS recommends. There are multiple types of drivers, you do not want the game ready drivers, only studio drivers.

It looks like you are on the latest Studio driver so that's fine.

In project properties I'd change resample to disable resample and render quality to best.

Is there a reason you are editing in 50p? Usually you'd use a framerate like 25p and then your 50p footage would be 2x slow motion to add a bit of drama at key moments. Render out to 25p using MagixAVC with Mainconcept.

For Voukoder you need both the connector for VP 18 and the program itself. Then it will appear under your render settings as a potential option. I use its x264 modes.

One source of the crashes when editing may be the GPU decoding- I've had not good luck with NVDEC in Vegas. You can try turning it off in file/io though that will reduce performance and depending on your CPU, possibly require you to make proxy files (right-click on media and "create video proxy.")

I record the film materials in 50p and give it to my wedding clients in 50p. This gives smooth movement because the scenes I create are very dynamic. if he wants slow motion, I record in 100P

I always use the best quality for rendering, and disable resample. Although no difference can be seen, the error appears in various places that cannot be linked by one feature.

You have to spend more money on the upograde to Vegas 19 to get the fix. It's a pity, the manufacturer should fix version 18, since he knows about the error. I've already paid four upgrades. and with each version there are more and more bugs and troubles. In addition, each version of Vegas requires a better computer, which incurs costs. Vegas magic support catch not responding, or the support correspondence ends with: reset program. BASIC QUESTION - Will Vegas fix version 18?

Working with Proxy is difficult as I usually work in Half Previev mode. Otherwise, the preview slows down to a few frames per second. With Half Previev, files turned into proxies look like puzzles, and you can't see anything. Proxy files created from difficult materials should be EXCLUDED from the preview modes (Half, Quarter) because they are not readable then

For today, I have the same propgram every few minutes and it stops responding and I have to restart.

With proxies, preview/full looks good and performs well and it's what I use. I see your problem if you have a mix of proxied and non proxied footage. Maybe just proxy everything.

Vegas Pro 18 and 19 have the same system requirements.

BASIC QUESTION - Will Vegas fix version 18?

No as the fix is Vegas 19. They're all the same program really- the new version numbers just indicate a new year worth of bug fixes and features.
