That looks cool! Can you see any way to implement a jog/shuttle wheel? Or to interface with the new color panel wheels, etc. in VP17?

Hello Gentlemen,

Can someone perhaps point towards the exact link in the Android Store regarding the Vegas Remote?

I'm not sure if this is a regional issue or its just that hard to find, but it won't turn up on my Play Store search.

Eager to try it.

Another pretty cool feature within the app that gets installed on the PC, you can select multiple programs on your PC which then show up as a list of programs within the remote Android App, and you can then launch Vegas from the remote if it is currently not open.

Here's a link to the developer's website which gives the steps on how to get started and also has a direct link to the Google store. It's Free with no ads!

I still need to dig into it more. I recall Vegas supports a hardware joystick controller but I've never owned one, so I'm unsure what you can and can't do with a joystick.

Here's a list of assignable buttons/controllers you can add to your screen panel layouts and under each of those headings is a lot of stuff you can select. The motion control, touch pad and joystick options may have something to work as a jog/shuttle wheel but I'm unsure. For sure you can assign the J, K, and L short-cut keys which act as a jog function in Vegas to some buttons and give them a name.

Unsure about the new VP17 features but it essentially seems that anything which has been defined as a keyboard short-cut, or Mouse control in Vegas can be defined and controlled using this app. For now I've got a 10in screen Android tablet and I'm creating custom buttons for the majority of keyboard short-cuts in Vegas. It's going to be nice not having to remember or use the combo Ctrl, Alt, and Shift buttons any longer and having actual names assigned for each button.

I've used my playstation controller's analog joystick as a surround sound panner when mixing 5.1 in Vegas.

I currently don't do any surround projects, but it will be nice to have a controller available rather than working with a mouse if I ever do need it. I'm more curious to find out if it does anything else, such as a pan or volume fader when not in a surround project and also if there are any additional functions supported by joystick buttons.

On another note, I'm really digging this app. I'm currently going through the defined Vegas keyboard short-cuts and assigning each one to a single button. This is going to take some time, but I learned that as well as being able to label each button, it supports any defined Android keyboard emoji's, and icons. So each button along with getting a name I'm also assigning the associated icon. I'll post some screens shots as I get further along.

I got into the "Toggle" assignable buttons. Basically it changes the color of the text of the button created to show if the button is currently pressed down or not. I tried this on a few buttons such as the Loop on/off figuring I could look at the controller and be able to tell if Loop playback was on or off but it doesn't work that way. Instead it's a press and hold key function where I found a good use for that as well. Things like when you have to press a CTRL, ALT, or SHIFT button along with a mouse drag, you can assign those modifier buttons to be a toggle button and it frees up your hands from having to hold those buttons down on your keyboard while dragging the mouse.

Overall, this app is pretty dang cool.

I think it works on color wheels IIRC.

Joysticks can also be used for scrubbing.

I wish VEGAS put more effort in updating/improving the current VEGAS Pro connect. Today everything can be controlled via smartphones.

Sadly its only exclusive in iPad. And the last update on that app is 3 years ago 2017
