I encountered two problems with the time velocity envelope feature in Vegas Pro 18:
(1) When I manually add a time velocity envelope to a video clip, where the velocity is set to 100% and then immediately followed by 0% (i.e. same as choosing "Freeze Frame at Cursor" in the menu), and then I try to render the video, the rendering would randomly hang (i.e. no progress occurs in the rendering, and CPU usage is near zero.) The app will also hang randomly during preview in this case. The hanging occurs more consistently when the clip is in a nested timeline. I have to change the 0% velocity to 1% to prevent the render from hanging.
(2) If I set the freeze frame too close to the start of a clip, then during render, Vegas will stop rendering when it reaches that part of the clip, with an error message: "an error ocurred wihle creating media file ... an error ocurred while converting with a codec". Moving the freeze frame further down the clip seems to fix this problem.
