When using the INSERT VOLUME ENVOLOPES on timeline, I can barely see the line and dots for adjustment. How can make this line more thicker and the dots larger so I can see and work with them? ty
I don't think that the line and dot size can be altered - nothing to allow this shows in Internal Preferences. Maybe try altering the display size/scale in the computer's Windows display settings.
In vegas Pro, the color of the volume envelope can be changed to almost any color you could want in Options/Preferences/Display (tab) as per:
Thank you for your response. This is a major disadvantage for me since it is a struggle to see the line, dots and arrow. I've been with Vegas a long time and have purchased every update along the way, but I will simply not be able to work the new Vegas 20 version unless they are able to make a change. Is this something you feel they will address, or would I just be spinning my wheels to submit a request? Sad that I will have to uninstall it and bite the bullet on the purchase and go back and use an earlier version.
Also, in Options/Preferences/Display (tab), make sure that the "Use High DPI scaling (where available}" is not checked/activated. On my 4K screen with High DPI turned off, the volume envelope is marginally thicker and looks to be about the same size as in Vegas Pro 16.
@Ronald-Maxwell .. I don't own VP20 yet. Are you saying VP19 displays timeline envelopes and envelope points differently than VP20 ? .. Namely that they are smaller and therefore harder to work with?
Yes, the line appears to be a bit thicker and the envelope points are much larger in VP19. In the new VP20, they are much smaller to the point that I can barely see them and too difficult for me to work with, so I am back working in VP19.
I'm not seeing any noticeable difference in the volume envelope's size, or the nodes, between VP19 and VP20.
Please note however that the above is on a 4K monitor and the High DPI options are turned off in both VP19 and 20. It may be a different result on an HD screen.
The answer: No noticeable difference between VP19 and 20 on my laptop with a 1920x1080 display (High DPI turned off on both VPs).
@Ronald-Maxwell ... does the VP20 display that you've uploaded above have the High DPI settings turned off? - as per:
If not, try turning the High DPI option to off, close and restart VP20 and see if there's a difference. As pointed out above, I'm getting the same envelope and node sizes in both VP19 and 20.
I am not seeing any difference between 19 and 20; I do have High DPI turned on. I am viewing on a ultrawide display 3840*1600, my windows scaling is 150%
@Ronald-Maxwell your V20 lines look more or less like my V19 and V20. I do not think it is a bug or regression on Vegas, probably more a windows .NET framework drawing consequence. Maybe the video driver is also playing a role. What is your OS version, .net version, videocard and driver?
Also, in Options/Preferences/Display (tab), make sure that the "Use High DPI scaling (where available}" is not checked/activated. On my 4K screen with High DPI turned off, the volume envelope is marginally thicker and looks to be about the same size as in Vegas Pro 16.
