But I am using 23.12.1 with an AMD RX 6700XT and Titles and Text work fine.

24.1.1 shows the same problem in Vegas

Have you tried RESETTING Vegas?

I tried resetting Vegas and also resetting Adrenalin driver - neither of them solved the problem.

Another hint: turning off gpu accelaration solves the problem, too.

Following the link you posted, that was with Nvidia hardware, not AMD. Also, the post is over a year old.

I suggest you fill out a SUPPORT TICKET on this. include serial number.

Strange that VP20 will work with an older driver but not the current ones. There are other AMD GPU users here that haven't reported on this issue.

Another interesting fact: On my laptop (AMD Ryzen 5700U/Vega 8) with Adrenalin 24.1.1 the problem doesn't appear.

Then it's something on the desktop that is causing the issue. I did pose some questions to you.

So, I installed VP21 as trial and used Adrenalin 24.1.1. After the first start, the text generator worked fine. Then I did another test with VP20, there the text generator worked fine on a new project line, too.

But after the first editing of the generated media the problem comes up again. So it is only possible to do one edit in text generator. When I open the edit windows of the text generator once again, the preview windows "freezes".

I have not other suggestions. It is working here just fine. I use text often, and often has to make changes. Never an issue.

I'd as Vegas Support what is happening. I provided a link above. Include your computer specs, the video, OS and serial number.

I think report it to AMD as the older driver version worked for you. They seem to have a number of bugs over the past year.

I don't think this is an AMD driver issue. I am using 24.1.1 and still, no issues. It doesn't matter which driver I have used in the past, the results are as expected.

These links are about NVIDIA and that was resolved months ago.

Even with the latest version of Adrenalin (24.5.1) the problem is still there.

There is one interessing thing, I found out: There is the same amount of GPU usage (in Windows task manager) despite the freezed preview. So I think the GPU does its job in the background but doesn't deliver the preview image.

Is anyone else seeing this? I've seen no other reports from AMD users.

If resetting the current version doesn't work I'd do a DDU uninstall and then clean reinstall of the AMD driver and a full reinstall of VEGAS. Beyond that I have no idea.
