Title animation issue

Angelo-Angeralides wrote on 4/7/2022, 12:43 PM

I'm having an issue using a rendered mpeg 4 video file that includes the Title animation. I do the animation on Davinci Resolve because I have lots of templates on it. I do the rest of the editing on Vegas Pro.

As you can see in the pictures that I attached, the blue color on the text gets transparent when I use ADD in the composing mode. I guess I need to render the file without the black background, but I don’t know how to do that.

Does anyone have a solution to that?

I really appreciate any help or hint.

@Angelo-Angeralides Hi use Chroma key to remove the black or buy MagicYUV which will allow you render from Vegas with an alpha transparent background, I don't know if DaVinci has an option to export with a transparent background,

Ian-mLMC, I tried that, but the problem shows up when rendering the clip. When rendering the final clip in mpeg 4 or any video codec the transparent background will automatically change to black. If it was a picture, I could have rendered it in png but that is not the case. As you can see in the pictures I attached below, the text works completely fine if I choose to edit the video in Davinci. I think that the only solution is to do everything in Vegas, render the clip and then move it to Davinci and use the title templates from there.

@Angelo-Angeralides In the text settings there's a background option, does it make any difference turning that off, I only have free Davinci & it won't render an 'individual clip' or a single clip that's a useable file with an alpha, i might be doing something wrong, 🤷‍♂️😂

lan-mLMC , I just got 9000.dpx on my windows desctop 😂

Gid, this only works when creating a text from scratch but I'm using a template so the background option is not available.

Vegas Pro crashes when I drag the file to it.

@Angelo-Angeralides

@Former user mentioned using Chroma Key fX to make the background of your MP4 video transparent. Here's how to do it.

Compressed formats probably aren't the best video formats for that kind of work. If you fail to get transparency out of Resolve, at least look for something that is lossless.
