@set Thanks set. But D toggles between 4 tools (Normal Edit Tool, then Envelope Edit Tool, then Selection Edit Tool, then Zoom Edit Tool, then back to Normal Edit Tool). Since I don't really use the Zoom Edit Tool, I was hoping for a way to toggle between only Normal Edit Tool and Selection Edit Tool.

Have you not downloaded manual & keyboard commands pdfs for VP18? Try search ctrl+f then 'topic'. Immediate answers usually.

I normally search the internet and check the help files before posting. If I don't find anything, then I post looking for help.

I don't see a way to make a macro work. Since there is no keyboard shortcut and you have more than two options, I don't see a way to make a toggle. Sorry.

@Former user You are right and I hope the Vegas team will consider adding those shortcuts in the near future.
For now, I found an acceptable workaround by utilizing a simple macro to toggle between the 2 tools. Here is a screenshot:
Assuming the default tool is (Normal Edit Tool) it should toggle between it and Selection Edit Tool. It is a work around so it is not the perfect methode.

I thought about something like but I didn't want to make the Default tool assumption.
