It is possible you have set one or more keyframes and the cursor is in a different place than the keyframe you are adjusting?

Depending on what you're trying to do, the Picture in Picture fx might work better

System 1:

Windows 10
i9-10850K 10 Core
128.0G RAM
Nvidia RTX 3060 Studio driver [most likely latest]
Resolution        3840 x 2160 x 60 hertz
Video Memory 12G GDDR5

System 2:

Lenovo Yoga 720
Core i7-7700 2.8Ghz quad core, 8 logical
16G ram
Intel HD 630 gpu 1G vram
Nvidia GTX 1050 gpu 2G vram

Its a Halloween video, I want a ghost to appear, then move towards the viewer and go right though them, I did it but track motion stops working, so I used event pan & crop and still problems.

A few screenshots or a screen capture would help to better understand your description.

How do I make it come towards the viewer with that feature? I never used it before.

Use keyframes to enlarge the pip window. Combine that with creative cutting and opacity to make it look like the ghost is passing through the viewer.

At the moment I barely have the time to reply on the forum. I don't have the machine or realtime bandwidth right now to create a tutorial.

Add the pip fx to a track and play around. You'll learn more that way. You already know how to use keyframes, so you're more than halfway there.

PIP working, much better than trackmotion or pan/crop, thank you all.
