Unable to Open GoPro Hero10 mp4 files in VMS 17 Platinum

I've just purchased the GoPro Hero10 and not all media it records can be open. I get "Error.... the application does not support this file type". I can open HEVC files though with VMS, but the normal or even timewarp files I get this message. I can open and play these files with Windows Media Player without any issues. I've attached the media properties (from mediainfo) and the Video settings of VMS. I tried turning off GPU accelleration, but made no difference.

I don't know the answer but VMS17 is a discontinued product now two, or more, years old.

Perhaps Vegas Pro 19 can handle the problem files. You could download the trial to find out.

I discovered that only GoPro Hero 10 files that are encoded in H.264/AVC do not open in VMS 17. If I change the GoPro settings from H.264+HEVC to only HEVC, all files can be read by VMS. Corel VideoStudio and Davinci Resolve can open both types. Other H.264 files from my other video devices can be open by VMS. Not sure why, but now that I've switched to do only HEVC, I have no problems adding this media.

Yes. I noticed that these are GoPro Hero 10 GHnnnn.mp4 files.
