@Kevin-Palmer curious as to why your project settings are UHD 4K and your footage is 1080HD. I don't have a clue, it was setup properly I thought.

 

I don't have VP17 installed anymore. Just 18 and 20.

I guess i should upgrade now, wonder what it costs?

flicker control is new in 18.

You can get Vegas Pro 18 and a bunch of other software for $25 from Humble Bundle.

It is 100% legitimate. You don't have to sign up and pay for the monthly. Just create an account, have a method of payment, you get an email with all the necessary links to download the software. I've used them many times over the years. My first Vegas Pro was VP14 Edit and it was a Humble Bundle.

@Kevin-Palmer  Hi, try Stabilize to remove the judder, I screen captured you vid & flicker control didn't do anything, I am eating my dinner tho so haven't time to spend on it & haven't tried Stabilize properly yet

I still see flickering in the gold flecks but I was going on -

'still have an un-smooth pan from the automated slider - fine in camera, video appears to be stammering / un-even in the movement - any ideas for that correction?'

I did try flicker control to see if I could remove that flicker from the gold flecks but it just seemed to blur the image too much..

flicker thing just makes it blurry as shit. can't use it. Stabilization 360 degrees I'll try next.

I'm wondering I should try this edit on a different computer with a little more horsepower.

Having a more powerful computer will only do things faster.

@Kevin-Palmer Your camera footage is 24fps, is that correct?

Your project should be 24fps too, not 25fps or 30fps, and your encoded video should be 24fps. That could be the reason your tracking shot is not smooth coming out of Vegas, , and it's blurring because you have resample on, instead of off.

Is your actual camera footage when played in a media player panning smoothly?
