I don't have VP17 installed anymore. Just 18 and 20.

@Kevin-Palmer curious as to why your project settings are UHD 4K and your footage is 1080HD. I don't have a clue, it was setup properly I thought.

flicker control is new in 18.

You can get Vegas Pro 18 and a bunch of other software for $25 from Humble Bundle.

It is 100% legitimate. You don't have to sign up and pay for the monthly. Just create an account, have a method of payment, you get an email with all the necessary links to download the software. I've used them many times over the years. My first Vegas Pro was VP14 Edit and it was a Humble Bundle.

@Kevin-Palmer  Hi, try Stabilize to remove the judder, I screen captured you vid & flicker control didn't do anything, I am eating my dinner tho so haven't time to spend on it & haven't tried Stabilize properly yet

Kevin-Palmer wrote on 3/23/2023, 2:46 PM

ok, i'll give that a go. just bought vegas 18 for nothing? hahahaha

Former user wrote on 3/23/2023, 2:52 PM

@Kevin-Palmer This is just once through Stabilize Basic option, not perfect but better than the orig,

Kevin-Palmer wrote on 3/23/2023, 2:53 PM

cool, I'll give it a shot, maybe a few times

Reyfox wrote on 3/23/2023, 3:02 PM

Vegas 18 has color wheels.

@Former user I thought he was referring to the pulsing of the red....

Former user wrote on 3/23/2023, 3:14 PM

@Reyfox 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️😂 yeah there's a few things mentioned .

I still see flickering in the gold flecks but I was going on -

'still have an un-smooth pan from the automated slider - fine in camera, video appears to be stammering / un-even in the movement - any ideas for that correction?'

& - 'As mentioned, I still have a shake going on with the video - stammering and not smooth. All the other suggestions fixed my original issues, thank you to all - now, how to remove the jittery video?'

I did try flicker control to see if I could remove that flicker from the gold flecks but it just seemed to blur the image too much..

Kevin-Palmer wrote on 3/23/2023, 4:59 PM

flicker thing just makes it blurry as shit. can't use it. Stabilization 360 degrees I'll try next.

Kevin-Palmer wrote on 3/23/2023, 5:00 PM

I'm wondering I should try this edit on a different computer with a little more horsepower.

Reyfox wrote on 3/23/2023, 5:04 PM

Having a more powerful computer will only do things faster.

I am unable to download the file from here to test.

@Kevin-Palmer Your camera footage is 24fps, is that correct?

Your project should be 24fps too, not 25fps or 30fps, and your encoded video should be 24fps. That could be the reason your tracking shot is not smooth coming out of Vegas, , and it's blurring because you have resample on, instead of off.

Is your actual camera footage when played in a media player panning smoothly?

Adis-a wrote on 3/24/2023, 1:30 AM

25

You sure?

Media info says footage is 25, but project settings are at 29.970. Look:
