My Brightness and Contrast fX operates in real-time. I've not seen the misspelled message before.
Did you click on "Calculate Brightness"? That brings up the percentage dialog and I could see it taking awhile on a long event.
no (I guess I should have said dialogue box NOT timer) that all works fine.. I am referring to the fact I can't move the dialogue box until its complete (using auto calculate)
If you feel that the inability to move the progress dialog box is a bug, add 'Bug Report' to the title and open a problem report with Magix.

Does that have a negative influence on your workflow or in the operation of this FX?
Why would you NEED to move it while it's working??? You can't do anything else until it's finished anyway.
so from what I understand that is the way it works on other systems also... It is not movable for anyone??
I never use "Brightness and contrast". I always use the Color Grading Panel...
Honestly, this popup should be able to be moved around. I will have someone take a look here. It is silly that this one popup dialog is different than every other one in the application.
I've had the same thing happen with the LUT pulldown menu in the GC panel.It wouldn't go away anymore, even with vegas closed. Very weird.

@Mindmatter, I've used the LUT pulldown menu in the CG panel with zero issues. I use it mainly for my DJI drone footage. The very weird part is that you are the only one reporting these types of issues.
