Using ScenLive

Hello Team.

How do I ensure I am capturing my video at 720x576 when using latest version of ScenLive?

Also, when I scrub and midfy the clips in Scenlive, and wish to save the file, do I select 'commit changes'?

And, When I enter these clips into Vegas, what preference settings should I set up with regards to video and audio?

Sclive auto detects what format you are capturing. No need to do anything.

Not sure because I'm sticking with an older simpler version without that feature.

And, When I enter these clips into Vegas, what preference settings should I set up with regards to video and audio?
Sounds like you're capturing PAL. Assuming it's 4:3 aspect ratio and not 16:9 then select file > project properties and select "PAL DV (720x576 25.000fps)" from the "template" pulldown menu.

While you're on the project properties dialogue, set Full-resolution rendering quality to "best", Motion blur type to "Gaussian", and Deinterlace method to "Blend fields" then check the box "Start all new projects with these settings".

As for preferences, there are a lot of them under the "Options" and "View" menus and really you need to spend time with manual to decide what you want to set.

Assuming you're working with PAL DV as I said, in the "audio" tab of project properties try this:

Master bus mode : stereo
Number of stereo busses: 0
Sample rate (Hz): 48,000
Bit depth: 16
Resampe and stretch quality: Best

The PAL DV templates will set this automatically.

You'll also want to visit Options > Preferences > Audio Device and change those settings if necessary depending on your setup. Read the manual about that.
