V13 build 428 Help lock-up remains.

Has anyone else seen help lock-up Vegas? Help works if I have no project open. But if I open a project and do a search in help Vegas locks-up every time. Frustrating and dangerous to projects.

The lockup happens to me as well, works if no project is open. Had same problem with previous build

Yes, I've got the latest 428 and help freezes the whole program as long as a project is open. Fine if nothing open, though then why would I be looking for help??

Yes, it's a nasty bug because when you are stuck on something you reach for help and bang! Your recent work has gone.

This was a new bug introduced in V13 - right from the first build. V12 is OK. I'm trying to persevere with V13 but for a seldom -user like me this bug makes it difficult.

Really, looks like 4 people have this common problem?
Kit wrote on 12/8/2014, 8:55 PM
Less by my count - but more than one does indicate a problem.

As I can best recall it has been covered in installation notes previously. Maybe something like do a fresh install on a virgin clean system disk, or?

No problem here. Windows 8.1.

I've installed Vegas 13 twice. Could try first uninstalling Vegas 12 first, I suppose. Installing a virgin Windows 7 just to reinstall Vegas is not really an option.
