@fr0sty the very recent BCC 15.5.2 boris update indeed fixed the crash for Vegas 20, but can you push the Vegas team to fix the Vegas part, so the FX Editor window can be used again (as it still works in vegas pro 19) or provide a quick workaround (maybe copy some dll from 19 folder) in the mean time...

Can you describe specifically what is going wrong with the FX editor window? I don't have the plugin to test it myself. Derek did say they're working with Boris on a fix, so chances are they're already on it, but if I don't see any mentions of this being fixed in the next update, I'll remind them.

This is much better since BorisFX released BCC 15.5.2 the other day because previously, just clicking on the FX Editor button in VP20 resulted in the white screen of "nothing more is going to happen here".

@MikeS - It’s only been 10 days since @VEGASDerek announced that they were working on a collaborative fix:

We are aware of this problem and are working with Boris on a fix.

That’s as much as we know.

Sent another reminder to them also on getting this urgently fixed, just hoping it can be sorted in the coming update.

Boris did all they could several weeks ago (which seems to pretty much have been to add the equivalent of 'On Error resume Next" to their code, the error coming from Vegas Pro). Messaging at that time from Boris and Vegas indicated on the 11th Aug that Vegas both knew of the issue, what the fix was, and was working on it. Since then ... nothing, I know they are a small team, but radio silence is not a good look ...

@MikeS  No, it's not radio silence. The developers are resolving this and other issues as we speak.

They may well be, I am not suggesting otherwise. But they are not communicating that, or helping to set user expectations. That's what radio silence is in this context. Compare and contrast to how Boris FX responded.

Just to be clear here, I am not trying to be critical of Vegas pro 20 as a product. For me, 20 has proved much more robust and stable than eg 18 or 19. And, perhaps counterintuitively, that is a source of frustration because right now I am forced to work completely in 19 for any project that might use any of the BCC+ effects. and I'd love for everything to be in 20, and just want to know how long I am going to have to wait before I am going to be able move all of my work over to a great product that I paid good money for. Even just a ball park figure.

Yes! It seems fixed, just quickly tried it with bcc+ sunset before 15.5.2 and after 15.5.2b and indeed we have our editor window back with contend to adjust.

Just a pity that nothing is mentioned in the BCC release notes that there is a new version with a fix...

And the download section still mentions 15.5.2, but you get 15.5.2b, a bit sneaky...

Yep! Happy to confirm that the BCC+ FX Editor previews work fine with 15.5.2b here. But why seemingly sneak this out?

I wonder if this is why my instance of Vegas 20 has gone completely unstable. It worked fine since purchasing it in August. Now as of yesterday it stopped working. I load a project and shortly after loading (or during) it will black screen me, sometimes I can recover and other times I have to hard reset my editing machine. I'm here searching the forum for potential solutions.

I find the BCC license section / download installers to be very confusing. I tried to download the update to BCC but I cannot find it on their website.

I have a license for "Continuum Premium Filters - Multi-host" However, I don't see that option on "Products" dropdown when I click download installers. Furthermore I assume Vegas is the OFX Host?
