V8b says can't play NEOHD video stream and dies

I just started my first project using 8b together with Cineform NEO-HD. When coming to what I assume is the offending clip Vegas "Stops Working" and gives the message like " A video stream in a media file could not be played."

This not only kills the session but I can no longer open the project as each time Vegas immediately stops working.

Has Cineform produced a bad conversion? I'm using the .avi option.

I'm curious why NEO HD takes 1920 x 1080 25P mxf clips and converts them to 1920 x 1080 50i avi. I guess it doesn't matter because the display will look the same, but I'd expected progressive to remain progressive.

I'm seeing the same thing with 60p. David Newman told me that it's still progressive. It's a Sony bug.

This because Vegas can't see it as progressive. I believe you can override with settings in Vegas like project settings etc.
