They could be nice and release it today, so that people gets all weekend long to play with it. After all, I have to assume that they have it ready, I doubt they are still working on the first release version. I don't understand why do they release it on a Monday.

If I am not mistaken, most of the major releases have occured on a Tuesday in the past.
Eeventhough I would love for them to release today, it could even be Tuesday morning...........

I assume they release it at the beginning of the working week and not just before the weekend so they will be in the office to address any problems customers may be having.

If history is any indication, the initial release of a new version has a few issues that aren't identified until it is in wide release and then an X.0a release follows a few weeks later.

Exactly, so I am hoping the X.0a release will be released before the 'incentive to order before June 30 2009' cut-off. Otherwise, this will be the first version I skip since Version 4.

I'm hoping the delay till after NAB is a good thing,, and any no brainer type bugs will be worked out and those who pre ordered will have something that works

In Denmark it is monday i 2 hrs. :-)

When 8 came out you could download at 8 or 9 o'clock in the morning on releaseday here and that wil probably be aprox. midnight in US

Keep in mind that, if it's going to be released tomorrow, it probably won't be until after midnight SCS HQ (Madison, Wisconsin) time.

Me too. This will be the first version of Vegas since version 4 that I won't getting immediately. I'm counting on the community for a good review process.
