I had a go around with the bank a while back when I went to purchase another year of antivirus from F-Protect. The bank blocked the card. I called the bank to find out what was going on and the lady I talked to asked if I had tried to purchase anything in Sweden recently. I said "no" and she indicated someone was trying to use it in Sweden. A bit more questioning on my part and she said they were in Reykjavík. I pointed out that was in Iceland, not Sweden and was an expected charge for my antivirus. "Oh .... ok, I will release the card lock". On the other hand, we have had cases of some very strange attempted charges in foreign countries that are obviously bogus too.

Upon further checking with my CC company they stated that charges to an overseas company raises a flag until charge is o.k.ed with card holder, and I appreciate that. So, difficulty with ordering is on me. On the issue of this particular offer of going to Vegas Pro 13 with the future Pro 14 included I personally think it's a good deal. However, I need to put in a proviso. I like Vegas. I have used Vegas since Vegas 5; and I have had the absolute privilege of getting advice, tips and encouragement on this forum from stellar individuals like "Spot" (Douglas Spotted Eagle), Grazie and others. Me, a rank amateur (I have gotten somewhat better than amateur status though and even participated in a Beta test of one of the Vegas upgrades). I have found Vegas to be easy to navigate and gives beautiful results. I am rethinking positively about going with the purchase although Vegas 12 meets every need I have and more. I hope that the folks at Magix do right by Vegas ... and I hope that this form can continue under the new ownership.

FYI, mine showed up in a spam folder, I would check there.
Thx

I am certainly not the the brightest bulb in the room, but could someone explain why they think this is some kind of a deal if they already have vegas 13, surly the bean counters are not expecting you to by 13 again, or am I just a really dim bulb and do not understand corporate stupid as well as others.

well finally got the offer here in aus.

as was mentioned in a previous post - what sort of deal is this if you already own 13?

quite frankly it's like buying a pig in a poke. i want to test 14 before i buy, and buy at a price that reflects my previous purchasing history.

i shall wait and see...

Wonderful welcome offer. Purchased!

This REALLY winds me up...

I have Vegas 13 Pro (i think i bought the Suite), ive not installed it yet as for the past 1-2 years been trying to upgrade my PC (which i will be doing this weekend for a HUGE DUAL Xeon 128Gb RAM).

So, getting an email "buy 13 and get 14 free", well i have 13, so i will get 14 free? This all sounds very Microsoft "oooo better pay money as you have NO idea what we wont do next".

I stuck with Sony as i KNOW i would get a deal when the next one came out, what with reading "you can install it, but after a year, you dont own it anymore" WFT???? its mine, if i want to remove it and installing it again as the latest Crypto virus blew out my system, then i will damn well do that as i bought it.

Anyone else see this stuff?

And whats with not being able to email these guys, ive had 2 bounces from there mails as the email addresses arnt real (even sales@vegas.magix.net).

Many Thanks
Me

My thoughts are the same but instinct told me that Magix is taking this to another level. $200 bucks for two versions is a sweet deal

Thank you for your interest in our bundle offer for VEGAS Pro 13 + 14. As you know, VEGAS Pro 14 will be released in September 2016. And we don't think users who are planning an upgrade to VEGAS Pro 13 so close to the new release date should miss out on the exciting new version. So any customers who upgrade to VEGAS Pro 13 between now and July 31st will also get VEGAS 14 for free! Those of you who already use VEGAS Pro 13 will receive a separate upgrade offer in September. Hang tight!

Hi Eric

Will the upgrade offer in September only be for Vegas 13 users? Sony's upgrade policy was to upgrade any previous version of Vegas. I'm currently on Vegas 10. I plan to upgrade to Vegas 14 when it comes out. But if I can't get an upgrade offer from 10 to 14 when 14 comes out, then I better go with the current 13+14 offer.

Thanks

We now have the offer in the UK with Sterling price. So the market will be flooded with pirate copies in no time at all as the new company is not checking IDs?
SFX Group wrote on 7/22/2016, 6:51 PM
Thanks MAGIX Eric D, is this PRO or suite?

Does anyone have any idea if V14 supports videos bigger than 4K?

Thank you Eric for your communication and attention to these inquiries. This statement alone probably deserves its own sticky. :-)
