Veg files recovered from formatted drive don't load properly

I have managed to recover veg files from an accidentally formatted drive. Only 1 of them loads properly (there is audio, video, cutting points, transitions, and project is looking for the imported files), while others load, but only the full audio of the project appears, no video, etc, and instead of trying to search for imported files, it is the project file itself that is placed into the imported files list. Any workaround, or need to start over?

You were lucky to get anything. Start over and...

... wait for it...

... wait for it...

... develop a good backup scheme.

Vbencev, you do not say whether the salvaged project file knows what mediafiles it should use?

Luckily in the end I managed to recover everything.

For those who would find this thread with the same problem: acidentally formatted partitions can be reinstated by TestDisk and with Minitool Data Recovery files can be backed up from the appearing lost directory system.

In the future I will back up my work every time, this was a good lesson.

It was a good lesson for me too when I learned it. The worst thing for me was how long ago I learned it.
