Vegas 13 "Render as" errors

Vegas 13 is for the most part very stable for me with the exception of one major problem. 9 times out of 10 when I click render as with a selection on the timeline Vegas crashes. I'm at my wits end on this as even after restarts it tends to crash the program. Then for some reason it will work then it's crashing again multiple times. Any ideas? I can render out of Premiere, After Effects, TMPEG encoder all day long without issues.

I've had this issue on and off with other computers in the past (Both AMD and NVidea) but it's incredibly bad now and all I can think of is that I'm using Windows 10 with the latest updates.

Thanks, Marc

Thanks Nick, I had turned on GPU (I usually leave that off) which may be the issue. I'll post back after I get through some projects to confirm.

Still getting render crashes though not a as much since turning off GPU. Everything else running fine during editing. Pretty frustrating to say the least...

Have you tried setting Dynamic RAM Preview max to zero? That's the 2nd thing to try after turning off GPU.

Yes tried that too. Also did a clean install of the recommended Radeon drivers. I just purchased Vegas 15 in hopes of solving this. Will report back. Thanks for your help.

Problem appears to be resolved. Solution: Purchase Vegas 15. Something in Vegas 13 is incompatible with my set up (Windows 10, i7, Radeon RX 480, 64gb ram). I still cringe everytime I click "render as" but have not had a single crash in Vegas 15 as of yet.

One more update: Although clicking "Render as" is no longer crashing vegas when I use the "Render to a new track" function it still crashes regularly.
