Vegas 16 crashing at startup

I purchased the upgrade to Vegas 16 earlier this week and cannot get it to run. It keeps crashing at "Creating Video Plug-in Factory"

Here is a copy-paste of the error details:

Problem Description

   Problem:             Unmanaged Exception (0xc0000005)

   Fault Address:       0x0000001800000012
   Fault Offset:        0x0000001800000012

Fault Process Details
   Process Path:        C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 16.0\vegas160.exe

Process Image Date:  2018-08-24 (Fri Aug 24) 03:09:06

I have tried previously mentioned solutions like renaming the OFX folder in common files, also un-installing and re-installing Boris FX etc. But this still persists.

Any other suggestions I can try? PS, running Windows 10 64 bit. No problems running Vegas 15 on this system.

Thanks

Troubleshoot here: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-vegas-pro-won-t-start-what-can-i-do--104784/

In particular you could try disabling VSTs and application extensions.

Having a similar problem, I also upgraded this week to Vegas 16 and when attempting to launch it one day, I received the same error code, but with a different fault address and offset.

Fault Process Details
   Process Path:        C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 16.0\vegas160.exe
Process Version:     Version 16.0 (Build 261)
   Process Description: VEGAS Pro

 Fault Module:        C:\Program Files\VEGAS\VEGAS Pro 16.0\vegas160.exe
   Fault Address:       0x0000000219930522
   Fault Offset:        0x0000000219930522

I have also attempted reinstalling the program, updating any known drivers for both my GPU and windows and attempting other forum fixes. None so far have worked...

Anyone have any ideas for either of us?
