2 tracks with video. I highlight by using control A,then in multicam I select audio sync and progess bar shows in the lower left of the interface. It just stays at 0 forever. Need tutorial if this feature is not broken.
I have looked again at the progress bar again and it's now at 1 percent after 30 minutes.Way too slow for my needs with only 2 tracks being synced. I will let you know if it actually works when completed.
Project is a dance recital 2.5 hours. I copied the Plural Eyes dll to Version 17 but did not show even after reboot ing computer .It ran for 2 hours this morning and only hit 5%. Unusable and no PE4 to replace it. No one will wait 8 hours to sync video. When there is a fix,I will gladly try again. Playback and sync is basic for everything I do. Plural Eyes4 worked perfect in 16 with way more tracks
If you select a small region of the timeline after selecting the events, the synchronization tool will use only that small portion of the timeline to align the events. That is the best way to work with synchronization. The longer the clips, the exponentially longer the analysis will take.
Don't know about the new VP sync, but like others (PE for instance), accuracy depends on the file quality, or lack thereof. I've received cam mic files to sync external audio to that could not be 'read' at all. It best to record a sync track with a hard-wire or camera hop. (wireless system),
Synching isn't working here either - did a test project with just two caneras - could see the audio waveforms clearly and see what had to move, but the "progress" circle just kept going for 20 mins with nothing happening. I expect it'll get fixed soon, but till then I'll keep doing it manually - six cameras take about 10 mins, so it'll need to be faster than that.
A lot of people on Facebook's Vegas Edit Hub have reported that it's incredibly slow. Like, hours slow, depending on the footage.
My personal woes is that sometimes it says there is no reference at all. I'd fix that by deleting the audio tracks, and reimport them from the project media panel into the timeline, then applying the effect again.
Trying to use this new feature but the progress bar stays on zero and and Plural Eyes 4 did not not load.
Project length and number of tracks not defined. With a 2 hour 2 videocams project with 5 b-cam parts to get in place progress bar stayed at zero for long time, but now has moved on. Perhaps it is a "leave to simmer overnight" thing … (?) - what has Plural Eyes to do with this btw. … yes, I know it is a syncing software. What is quite obvious is that one should have the video-material on a very fast drive, not just on a USB2-drive ….
VegasPro17's new "synch by audio" function is very, very, very slow for me, too. (Windows 10 system, latest OS version). In fact, I'm not positive it actually works at all... I admit my project (a dance performance) is medium-challenging: 4 cameras, where each camera except the GoPro has a single clip of an hour long, and the GoPro clips, all separate, total about an hour. I let the Vegas synch function run for about an hour and a half, and its progress-bar was at about 1 percent. Fortunately, I also own PluralEyes4. I killed the Vegas synch function and am currently running PluraEyes on the same project. PluralEyes is definitely not "fast", but it's Way faster than the VegasPro synch function. (it's at 97% right now, after having run for about ten minutes)
