Did you first selected all the used tracks and select than Enable Mulicamera Editing?
Further tests show the process is unreliable, even on short "Obvious" segments that have clearly defined audio peaks. Two hand claps in this case.
I even added rough marker points before dropping onto the timeline, as visual guide.
selected tools>multicamera>synchronize audio to align events
After a short time it moved the timeline events to this..
I clicked a second time... 1 & 4 aligned, and separately 2 & 3 aligned..
After four additional clicks of synchronize audio to align events, I got this..
further OUT of sync..! 1 & 4 aligned, 3 same, but 2 moved way out..!!
If I try this synchronization on a different set of events/clips and nothing is moved by Vegas, I get back the message "x events could not be aligned with the reference"...
But what IS the reference and how to set it to one of the events/clips on the timeline?
