For help we need more:
- Screenshot of Options/Preferences/Video before starting to render
- Media info of your sourcefiles following: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/faq-how-to-post-mediainfo-and-vegas-pro-file-properties--104561/
- Render-to location plus amount available free space on that location

I know it is not the solution to the root cause of the problem, just a workaround to get you going. As your video is 10h long, I would render it in pieces and join them together at the end, without re-encoding. Here is what I would do

1- Define regions on your timeline, 1 per hour or whatever chunk you know will render to the end. Next region must start where the previous finishes. To create a region you do a time selection on the timeline and press R.

2- Select first region (right click on green marker)

3- Render video only by ensuring "Render Loop Region" is ticked and untick Include Audio from render template. Give each region a sequential name (Region1.mp4, Region2,mp4)

4- Render all your regions this way.

5- Collapse the loop region, or select your entire timeline or untick "Render Loop Region" and render the audio only using Wave. Select the sample rate/width to match your timeline.

6- Merge your video using Shutter Encoder https://www.shutterencoder.com/en/. Drop your video files in the file box. Select Merge from the choose function. This will lossless stitch the files together without re-encoding.

7- Mux audio in using Shutter Encoder. Clear Shutter encoder from previous step. Drop the merge video file and the audio file for your entire project. Choose the function Replace Audio. Select the desired audio codec (AAC in my case). This will encode the audio from uncompressed PCM to AAC and will mux it with video in a single file.

If ever you have to retouch your 10h video file in the future, this workflow will allow you to re-encode only the portion that you edit without having to re-render the whole 10h.

Two other options to Try:

1) Render without the NVENC to see if it finishes (1hour)

2) Try Voukoder which has NVENC option and is usually rock solid.

(Intel 3rd gen i5@4.1GHz, 32GB RAM, SSD, 1080Ti GPU, Windows 10) Not now used with Vegas.

i was already rendering without NVENC with no luck.

Try Voukoder, it's free https://www.voukoder.org/

Voukoder worked for the one video i was able to do. I am hoping it fixed it with the next video i need to render as Voukoder Rendered alot faster. (approximately half the time to render).

andyrpsmith wrote on 2/8/2023, 1:44 PM

Voukoder has many options to play with. You may wish to test a few out and use a quality factor tool to compare rendered with original. Happy Otter has a QF tool built in.
