Yours is probably the dumbest comment in this thread. Sir, the amateur is YOU if you let such petty things bug you. Sorry, but someone had to tell you.

Clients should be impressed with how you USE tools, not the tools you use. And if anyone thinks Vegas Video looks amateurish, then that person is totally clueless.

Why are letting clients see what software you use? Puppy is right. This old dog knows better. BTW there is an option to not have the Logo Splash screen show if you have such low self-esteem.

Geez, aren't you worried clients will see you are using a PC and not a Mac?

I just got a really big laugh out of this whole post. Just when I think I've met most of the ignorant people in my life, along comes a string of posts on this forum that just shows there's plenty more idiots out there. What a bunch of clueless cry babies there are out there, makes me thank God that I don't have to work for Sonic Foundry's customer service and listen to someone complain, that they own 3 other SF software's and by "default" are required a discount for another product they never bought. LOL, stop me from breaking my gut from laughing so hard. I'm glad these people are pissed, maybe they'll stop using Vegas and we won't have to read any of their more ignorant posts in this forum in the future. Here's 2 cents for ya....go buy a clue and see if you can upgrade from there.

SonicSales - is someone in management going to slap your hand if you actually say there is no Vegas Audio 3?

I do not appreciate or need your longwinded bullshit sales pitch on VV3. Here's a frickin' newsflash for ya - Vegas Audio users do NOT care about VV3. If we did, we would already have it and this thread would not exist.

Also - feedback from 2 collegues that have already gone back to VA 2.0h, the VV3 upgrade sounds like a real shitpile.

Unbelievable. I hope you are enjoying the endless stream of dollars that I have spent with your company.

I have to agree with Rednroll. With all the great features on this product & the intelligent questions that users should have & may need someone's opinion on, it just seems funny that this is the post with the most comments. I've been a Sonic Foundry user for 3 years starting with SF 4.5, cd arch, noise reduction & now vegas video. I've been very pleased with the software & the support I've received when needed. The cry babies were out in force when cd architect was discontinued & they're back again. Go back in hibernation so this post will just die off.

I can't believe I've read this entire thread, but I do read every post (52 and counting)...

Joe D asked: "While I'm at it? What is the REAL reason you can't add a separate section for Vegas Video and Vegas Audio? There is non expect shear laziness.

Man if I were in charge, whoever is making these decisions would be fired week 1 into it. There's too many people who CAN do."

A: It has been posted on this forum many times: No separate audio and video forums for Vegas is planned. I take full responsibility for this.

As to your other tech issues, we'll look into them. If you've found bugs, they all get reported to SF Enginnering, added to the fix-list and we'll try to fix those bugs in future updates.

Also Joe, our offer of a full refund still stands, as it has for at least two years.

Have an enjoyable day-

I decided to stay neutral to this post for awhile now, but after seeing what a lot of people had to say on the subject, I was propelled to write a-little something on the board.

I agree with Rednroll that the program should simply be called Vegas? Why you ask, well both previous versions (VV2 and VA2) do the exact (I must write it a second time)"and I do mean EXACT" same things for audio. Who would want to complain about the additional video components?

If you guys want to complain about the price situation. Yeah I suggest you go out, buy a Mac. Then get Final Cut Pro 3. Finally send me a copy of your receipts and I will try to figure out what type of savings you get out of it. Or even better, get the Digi001... Great savings there also!!!

Vegas is a very powerfull tool, and it's cheap for the features it offers... Premiere doesn't come close to VV3. And for you audio users... Get it, why? It's improved over VA2...

What changes in the product if they drop the audio out of Vegas Audio and simply call it Vegas?

well.. at least Rahl agreed with the point I was trying to make.

Maybe I didn't phrase it too well.. but.

I don't care what people who come into my studio think of the name of the product - as long as they're happy with the end result.

What I do care about is... If Sonic Foundry calls their flagship product 'vegas video'... I don't see them getting many new audio customers. Also, I don't see Vegas 'Video' getting many reviews in audio only magazines or web publications.

Now it doesn't matter for all of us who know and love Vegas already, but to new customers... without proper reviews etc, who wanting to record audio only would buy Vegas Video? Surely they would buy a program that cites it's focus as audio.

Now, the way round this, is to go back to calling the product just 'Vegas'.. or to relase a Vegas Audio only version.

I just want to see Vegas do well. And people should appreciate EVERYTHING the program is capable of.
