Vegas hub stock not working

I will click download or add to timeline or add to project media on the stock video I want and nothing will happen. Then the drop down menus for the video will stop working completely. I've tried restarting vegas and my PC. I'd rather not have to delete the cache.

What's going on?

I am having the same issue I am on Vegas Pro 23 Trial, it says I have.

HD Stock Media Downloads available 1 of 1 remaining

Text-to-SpeechCharacters available 5000 remaining

Speech-To-TextMinutes available 10 of 10 minutes remaining

I have tried Download, Add to Project Media, Insert on Timeline, but nothing happens!

I've just come here to report the same thing.
VEGAS Hub loads fine but when I click download - nothing happens.
And then the dropdowns all freeze and I have to exit the video download popup.

On Windows 11 - with latest updates - version: 23H2

I wonder if it's connected to the Microsoft Azure problems. It appears to have been fixed but possibly there could be latency issues.

I have been trying since about 2 PM. It's still not working for me.

Windows 11 (latest build), currently using Vegas Pro 22 latest build, and limited VP23 use to gauge performance and ease of use differences. Videos come from 2 x Sony HDR CX-405 Cameras, XAVC-S MP4 @ 50Mbps 1080P 60fps video files. (Previously: 2 x Canon HFR800 cameras, MP4 files at 1920 x 1080 60p 35Mbps).

We can confirm that Hub Services are currently unreliable. We are investigating whether this is related to the outages on Microsoft's side or whether our backend is experiencing problems.

I am having the same issue with stock media. I tried to place a footage clip on the timeline, but after clicking 'place on timeline,' nothing happened for a few minutes, and then the footage seemed to freeze. To be honest, Vegas has always had problems and is very unreliable software.

Over the years, I have used it less and less, especially now that you can create your own videos using AI. Good luck, everyone. They don't even have contact us link anymore. all is about selling the software not much about customer service or professional support.

It's interesting that I'm not the only one encountering this problem with stock media. That's precisely why I'm not upgrading to version 23. I've tested it, and I don't see a significant difference; those minor changes simply don't justify paying £150 just for an upgrade. I cannot rationalize such an expense for so little differentiation.

Stock media is provided through a third-party (and has been for years), and that third-party seems to be having availability issues.

Many of the major changes to VP 23 are not immediately visible including changes to media decoding and how the GPU is used. That said if you're happy with your current version of VEGAS there's no reason you have to upgrade today.

thank you for youre replay that make sense now. Appriciate your clarification on this but remember all this issues reflects on Magix and Vegas. I would upgrade but not for £150 if it was at around £90. I have tested V23 and couldn't really see that much difference apart from cosmetics. All major changes effected colour greading. TA,Cheers

The major non cosmetic changes are with video decoding in my opinion, but if you use a few common formats you may never notice a difference. If you have a NVIDIA GPU see that the encoding no longer stops and starts

The AWS outages seem to be causing widespread issues but I agree, from a user perspective it needs to work.

Is the upgrade for the basic package always that much? The USD equivalent is lower.

So what is Vegas doing about it and when will it be fixed? As a Customer I don‘t care about Problems with any Third Party Provider, I bought a product from Magix and they have to deliver a fully functioning Product.

Reyfox- The original poster could not download anything from the Vegas Hub (stock video/audio). I am having the same issue (multiple days) although I am on the Vegas Pro 23 trial, as I wanted to see if there are enough benefits to upgrade to a newer version.

Someone did mention TTS/STT. As for downloading while using the trial version, I can't give you an answer whether it is enabled or not. Someone higher up the pay ladder will have to answer that one.

it shows that I have one video or audio download available, but I can't access it. also STT and TTS has some number of words for me to test, I haven't tried these only audio & video which hasn't worked.

Just tested it, "download to project media" , worked without any problems. Full version here, no idea if this is restricted in the trial version.

I tested Yesterday evening and it finally worked, and I am using the trial version. It limits it to one Audio or Video download.
