Dear community,

Today we have released the second Update for VEGAS Movie Studio 15 (build 135 & 146). Besides a lot of bug fixes we are happy to have new features ready for you, for example an unlimited amount of video and audio tracks or the Tiny Planet OFX plug-in. New Features

  • Support has been added for hardware rending from qualifying AMD graphics cards to speed AVC/AAC and HEVC rendering considerably.
  • Added an option to disable hardware acceleration when creating custom presets in Intel HEVC Render plugin.
  • Added a preference that enables you to bypass QSV hardware acceleration and operate without this technology.
  • The user can now add an unlimited number of video and audio tracks.
  • The default freeze frame length is now dictated by the New still image length preference on the Editing tab of the Preferences dialog box.
  • A new AutoLooks plug-in lets the user instantly apply color adjustment presets to make their video look like famous movies, film genres, or distinctive styles.
  • A Tiny Planet OFX plug-in enables the user to create interesting effects such as making a video look like it's a tiny ball (or planet) or creating a "tiny sky" effect
  • Jumpstart Templates Vol. 2 give VMS Suite users even more creative starting templates to create professional-looking projects

Bug Fixes

  • Improved the efficiency of undo history when making changes to parameters of an OFX plug-in.
  • H.263 files are now properly supported on the timeline.
  • Docking window tab order no longer gets mixed up.
  • Pressing Enter in the Render dialog box now properly executes a render instead of opening render options.
  • Rending an image sequence to BMP and JPEG formats in 32-bit mode now yields the correct output.
  • Color levels are properly preserved when rendering a 32-bit project to XDCAM-EX format.
  • Resolved a conflict between QSV and 10-bit HEVC file renders on i7-770/i7-8700 systems.
  • Event header buttons no longer get clipped by the vertical scrollbar.
  • Memory management has been improved to enhance render performance for GPUs with less than 4GB memory on 4K 32 bit projects.
  • Right-clicking to open the context menu with several events selected, some of which are empty, no longer causes a crash.
  • MAGIX AVC/AAC plugin now shows the full set of encoding modes when the QSV global preference is disabled.
  • Regions from Sony A7s footage are now properly supported.
  • AVC/AAC files with four channels of audio are now properly read.
  • Render templates are now properly highlighted so the selected one can be more easily identified.
  • Tabbing now properly progresses through the Render As dialog box focus items.
