VEGAS PRO 13 - BUG WITH LARGE JPEG PAN/CROP USING AMD A10-7800 APU

vjsouza wrote on 9/14/2016, 8:19 AM

About a year I'm using a machine with AMD A10-7800 APU processor.

My problems started when I had to make pan / crop in JPEG files larger than 1920x1080 pixels. Strange things appear!

This problem does not occur in machines with Intel processors!

Please, see all you need to knou this bug at https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/99447938/AMD%20and%20Vegas%20Pro%2013%20-%20Problems%20with%20zoom%20in%20JPEG%20files.zip

I haven't had time to analyze the contents of your zip files, but sounds like it might be a GPU acceleration problem. Try disabling GPU-acceleration as per #4 in this post: https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/why-does-my-rendered-video-look-bad-quality-troubleshooting-basics--103361/

Nick Hope, no matter if GPU acceleration is ON or OFF, the bug still there!

I don't think it is a bug but rather be something else that caused your issue.  I have done many pan/ crop full size JPEG photos from 5D mrk III.  Never had any issues.

CPU:  i9 Core Ultra 285K OCed @5.6Ghz
MBO: MSI Z890 MEG ACE Gaming Wifi 7 10G Super Lan, thunderbolt 4

Please ignore the above comment as I miss read the poster complaint.  Only happened on AMD cpu.  This is a very strange one.
