vegas pro 13 wont render videos

I didnt have a issue when i got this program back in november and have been able to render for youtube videos with no issue. Till i started to work on my 1 second every day project. I switched to a better camera in the middle of doing this project but its still a nikon coolpix like my old one just has better video settings unlike my old one. I use to be able to preview the video as i was making it everyday and watch as it progressed. once i used started to use this new camera i could no longer do that (my guess was because it was a better video then the others before it) so after every week i would render it just to kinda preview it that one. now it wont do it all. i can see all the videos in my timeline and they all work even if they dont play out like they should. I hope this dont sound confusing. I just don't understand how one day it can just stop rendering like it was before. it will lock up at different spots to not just over the newer video clips. sometimes it only renders to 25%, 73%, 80%, etc you get the point. It causing me to have to totally shut it down through task manger just to get out of sony vegas. because i have tried just letting sit there to see if it would render even after it froze. it does not. I'm just kinda at a loss at what to do now...

thanks for the help ^_^

Do your short video files have a .mov extension?

Do you have a lot of files? How many?

Are you able to render from a single 15 minute video from the new camera?

1) yes, half of them are .avi and half of them are .mov. the ones taken with the old camera are under .avi while the new ones are under .mov

2) ya there is. I have been taking 1 second video clips since jan 11. so over 50 clips by now i'm sure.

3) I've never. This is the first project I've ever done in the movie maker and with this new camera.

as a little test i tried just rendering just the avi part of the clips. it rendered with out a issue

Your problem is described here. Quicktime MOV format has limitations in Windows that causes problems for some when you reach a certain number of files. You might consider rendering a number of the mov files to a lossless intermediate. You could also convert the Quicktime MOV files from the camera to Cineform using the free GoPro Studio software.

Since you are making a time lapse, you might also consider shooting stills. Depending on the time between shots and the length of the final video it may be more efficient at producing the final outcome.
