I didn't watch the video but what was his hardware setup for Vegas? If he didn't use any of the old GPUs than all you can compare is basic CPU only rendering; Vegas is stuck in the stone age when it comes to GPU support.

I watched the same video - but given I use the Vegas2Handbrake script to render - it's a non-issue as Handbrake utilizes all the CPU/GPU I have on my desktop. And given the track record of the 800lb Gorilla known as Adobe Premiere Pro being a resource hog, randomly corrupting project files and auto saves not being readable at the worst times, I'm done with their product. Vegas is treating me very well now and I'm looking forward to the release of version 15.

If I hadn't been drinking a cup of coffee, I would have considered the whole video a waste of time. I usually leave the club with the date I brought with me.
