I recently upgraded to VP 15 suite from VP12/13 on same machine. The same issue started when I would open Sony Vegas Pro 12/13 within the last 18 months or so.. It seemed like the Magix “special offer” upgrade pop-up impeded my computer a bit and would cause my version 12 and 13 to crash after running a few minutes.
Vegas Pro 15 just crashes if I am online.🙁 Is there a known PC setting for this?
(At least) two things happen when Vegas starts. 1. Net Notify checks for possible updates. Since you are at the latest version you can turn that off in Options / Preferences.
2. Vegas 15 checks the licences for codecs which causes some delay. This happens periodically and can cause a delay in starting.
Neither should cause a crash or permanent hang. #15 in this FAQ would be a good place to start.
